Round 2, Day 2

Just a quick post to let you know how I'm doing today. Mostly just super tired and not too hungry. I take eMend (an anti-nausea 3 day med) which works well to prevent overwhelming nausea, but I don't have much of an appetite. I did have two eggs this morning and a slice of rye bread, plus I'm drinking as much water as I can tolerate to try to flush the poison out ASAP. Air conditioning is good, as is HGTV (even though I have seen the last 2 episodes of Income Property and First Time Design already). It's the best channel for me to watch, with minimal food and baby commercials. Plus, online shopping is good retail therapy. Thanks for all of the encouraging FB comments and cards and care packages. I am so lucky to have the best team surrounding me with love and support.

  2. Actually, when I proposed the pose, I titled the scene, "Les Demoiselles of the Wellness Center". Rather than bitch about the semi-disregard for the inspiration (Cezanne and) I offered, I am focusing on how encouraging it is that the one with the scarf had radically less severe ill effects the second time around. For this I give thanks, in case all the prayers we've launched have been heard.

  3. Hi Mia, You do not know us but we are friends of your Aunt Marcy and Uncle Gary. Our grand daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia on March 31st so we have some idea of what you are going through dealing with chemo treatments. Just wanted to share with you that her life is definitely on the upswing and she is just a few months ahead of you. Hang in there and stay positive, there is a lot of help out there for people with your illness. I also wanted to share with you that Miss Delaware suffers from alopecia areata, an autoimmune condition that causes baldness and she won! Baldness can be beautiful because it comes through from the inside as well as the outside and we hear wonderful things about you. Wishing you didn't have to go through all this but sending you positive energy and lots of good wishes. We hope to be kept up to date with your recovery from your Aunt and Uncle and will try to post again from time to time...Estelle & Ron
